Rewiring America and Motili Announce Collaboration to Help Denver Households Save Big on New Energy-Efficient Heating and Cooling Systems as Federal Incentives Expire

In collaboration with Motili, a highly-rated local contractor, Rewiring America is offering special pricing to income-qualifying Denver residents on Daikin’s high-efficiency heat pumps.

Oct. 15, 2025—With federal tax credits for energy-efficient appliances set to expire by the end of the year and an additional limited-time special pricing offer now available through a new program led by Rewiring America, now’s the time to act for homeowners in the Denver region looking to upgrade their HVAC systems.

National electrification nonprofit Rewiring America and Motili, a highly-rated local contractor, announced the launch of their Denver Area Heat Pump Access Program today. The program, which is accepting applicants now through November 7, aims to provide income-qualifying Xcel-served households with special pricing on Daikin’s high-efficiency heat pumps that is 30% to 40% lower than typical installation costs for new heat pumps.

The program is designed to help lower the upfront cost of the appliance for middle and low-income Denver area households. Households can learn if they qualify for the program here.

Go Electric Colorado, a local nonprofit focused on empowering homeowners across the state to confidently embrace an electric lifestyle, will provide electrification coaching and program navigation support to participating households.

This is a rare moment for Denver area residents to get a great deal on a heat pump, thanks to this program’s significant discount, the additional federal incentives that will be expiring at the end of the year, and the fact that this program was designed to be compatible with Xcel’s heat pump incentive. This means thousands of dollars in savings on a new heat pump for participating homeowners.

Why should Denver homeowners be interested in upgrading to a heat pump?

Upgrading to a heat pump increases comfort, has the added benefit of cooling homes, and may result in energy bill savings.

Heat pumps are far more efficient than electric resistance heaters and heating systems that run on fossil fuels, like furnaces and boilers. This energy efficiency may translate to hundreds in energy bill savings a year, especially for households replacing electric resistance baseboard heaters and space heaters.

How can households participate?

Households can determine their eligibility and learn more about the program here.

Who qualifies?

Qualifying households must be below the 150% AMI (Area Median Income) threshold, live in the Denver area, and be an Xcel customer. Income limits vary by household size; for a family of four, income must not exceed $195,600.

“If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your home heating and cooling, now really is the time to act,” says Kelly Delaney, Community Implementation Manager, at Rewiring America. “Thanks to our collaboration with trusted local contractor Motili, our Heat Pump Access Program will lower the upfront costs of this upgrade, locking in increased comfort and potential energy bill savings for Denver residents for years to come. Our special program pricing, combined with the expiring federal tax credits, and the expert guidance our team will provide, makes this a deal you won’t want to miss.”

“This collaboration is all about empowering homeowners to take advantage of new, energy-efficient technology,” said Teagan Hough, Electrification Sales Manager at Motili. “Together with Rewiring America, we’re streamlining every step - from installation and rebates to quality assurance - so homeowners can enjoy a comfortable home and lower energy costs with confidence.”

“Heat pumps are the most efficient way to heat and cool most Colorado homes. We are excited to assist Denver families to experience the health, safety, and cost benefits of the latest home comfort technology at these extraordinary prices,” said Paul Bousquet, Co-Director at Go Electric Colorado.
